TIPTOE has joined forces with the Yves Klein Archives to create an exclusive and limited collection of objects.
This collaboration is in celebration of the 95th birthday of the artist Yves Klein.
Yves Klein, a major artist of the 20th century, bestowed upon history an original colour that has become the stuff of legend: an ultramarine blue of incomparable intensity, which according to him is “the most perfect expression of blue” and which he adopted as a vehicle for his quest for the immaterial and the infinite.
This colour invention, which he named “IKB” (International Klein Blue), characterises many of his works, most notably his monochromes.
To achieve the development of this famous blue, TIPTOE worked for many months to formulate a colour that would do justice to the intensity of Klein Blue.
Many tests were necessary to obtain the exact formulation. The blue created by TIPTOE is the result of a demanding work between our designers and our industrial partners.
We made two formulas: one for wood and one for steel, making sure that they were identical so that the materials would blend perfectly.
The TIPTOE x Klein Blue collection was created in collaboration with the Yves Klein Archives, whose mission is to protect and promote the artist’s work. The Archives guided us in the creation of the colour to ensure that our blue was consistent with Yves Klein’s IKB.
The pieces have been stamped and screen-printed in blue by its French partners. Their bespoke manufacturing processes, which make for high-quality, highly resistant results, are very near and dear to both partners.
Some recommendations for a coffee table or bench.
Use as an occasional bench: the 43 cm table legs are not intended for everyday use, but you can use them as occasional seating for 1 person (max. 80 kg).

Care instructions
Our powder-coated steel table legs are built to last and do not require any special maintenance. If necessary, you can clean them with a microfibre cloth and clean water.
