For this collaboration with Tiptoe, illustrator Severine Assous invites us to share a Sunday brunch like no other captured through her singular universe of bold flat colours and graphic patterns.
Severine Assous is a French illustrator based in Paris. Trained in printmaking at the Arts Décoratifs, she first worked as an art director in advertising before dedicating herself fully to illustration.
What inspires her are bodies in motion, unlikely postures, gestures you never quite see coming. She draws the people around her with an almost choreographic energy each figure caught in the moment, carried away by their own momentum, somewhere between laughter and impulse. Her eye picks up on what others tend to miss: the small, telling details of everyday life.
“I wanted to show the Tiptoe products in action. Far from static interiors, I imagined the joyful chaos of a Sunday brunch where everything spills over a little: gestures, bodies, conversations… and plates.”
