Can you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Louise, I’m an illustrator and artist. I moved back to my native Rouen 4 years ago. I first came into contact with the world of illustration during my final years at the Beaux-Arts in Le Havre, in the school’s silkscreen workshop, where graphic designers, publishers and illustrators came to share their experiences and their love of printed products, ink and line. Today, I mainly work in digital illustration and sometimes paint.
How would you describe your creative world?
After many years of illustrating in pencil, in black and white, I’ve given way to more color, pattern and detail. Given my young experience, my graphic language is constantly evolving. Fashion is fast becoming a narrative medium in its own right. I’ve developed a soft, uncluttered and expressive style, creating singular characters with their own personality.

How did this collaboration inspire you?
Lately I’ve been trying to bring more life to my illustrations by integrating elements around my characters such as a café front, animals or… furniture.

Can you tell us about a place where you feel good?
Like many people, if there’s one place where I really feel at home, it’s the apartment/workshop I’ve been living in for the past few months. I have a real space where I can express my creativity, surrounding myself with all the things that inspire me most, books/BDs and lots of colorful little products. I love having friends and family over, and who knows, maybe a pet!
