Can you introduce yourself?
I’m Ana Gaman, an illustrator, designer and creative director, spending my days between Luxembourg and Greece.

How would you describe your creative world?
My work often depicts people’s diversity and the lush beauty of plants and nature. I would describe my illustrations as bright and bold, a mixture of clean, flowy lines and texture-infused strokes.
I collaborate with start-ups, design agencies and museums, bringing my style to branding, digital and editorial projects.
What did you seek to reproduce through your work with Tiptoe?
I’m currently in the process of furnishing my new home, so it felt natural to imagine an interior space. I was inspired by Alessandro Mendini’s colourful espresso maker, and that object gave the tone for the colour palette. For me, great interior design blends contemporary pieces, such as the Lou stool, with vintage-inspired objects. The addition of geometric patterned rugs brings some playful rhythm to the two illustrations.

Can you tell us about a place where you feel good?
One place I always visit when I’m in Copenhagen is the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. I love the mix of greenery with ancient art. It gives me a sense of quiet calm and stillness in this busy world, just like at home.
