High tables

As its name suggests, a high table is taller than a standard table. A standard dining table has a height of 75 cm.

A high table is therefore considered as such when it exceeds 75 cm and can reach 90 cm. At this height, a high table can be compared to a worktop or a kitchen island. Above 90 cm, and up to 110 cm or even 120 cm, the high table is then considered a bar table, a counter or bistro table, or even a standing table.

The height of your table legs should be chosen according to how you plan to use your high table.

• For a worktop or kitchen island: this is the most common height for a high table. You will therefore need 90 cm TIPTOE table legs.
• For a bar table or standing table: this taller height is designed more for standing use, which is why this type of table is also known as a “standing table”. For this table, you will need 110 cm TIPTOE table legs.

If you choose a custom tabletop, we recommend a wood finish (solid oak, birch, pine, raw wood, reclaimed old wood, etc.) or plastic. However, we strongly advise against using brittle materials such as glass, marble or stone. Thanks to its adjustable clamp system, the metal table leg can be paired with tabletops between 3 and 4 cm thick.

Several sizes are available to suit your needs. The tabletops are protected with a water-based varnish, making them easy to maintain, providing optimal protection for the wood and ensuring the longevity of the tabletop.

The dimensions of your high table should be determined based on both the available space in your room and the number of seats you would like around your table to host your guests. In general, tabletops are rectangular, but you can choose a completely different shape that perfectly suits your needs.

Below you will find our recommended rectangular tabletop dimensions to fit TIPTOE high table legs.

• Dimensions for a 2- to 4-seater table: 120 x 60 cm tabletop, 3 to 4 cm thick
• Dimensions for a 4- to 6-seater table: 150 x 75 cm tabletop, 4 cm thick
• For even larger formats, over 180 cm, you will need to add two additional table legs for optimal stability.
• If you would like a square high table, we recommend using a tabletop with sides of at least 60 cm.

For a high table with a height of 90 cm, we recommend a seat height of at least 65 cm. This seat height is ideal for a worktop or kitchen island. To sit comfortably around your high table, you can choose our 66 cm bar stools or our new 65 cm bar chairs.

For a high table with a height of 110 cm, we recommend a seat height of at least 75 cm. This seat height is ideal for a bar table, bistro table or standing table. Our bar chairs and stools have been specially designed to suit the height of our 90 or 110 cm high tables. These seats are available in several models and finishes. For the stools, in wood (solid oak, brown-stained oak or light beech), white recycled plastic or black-and-white speckled recycled plastic.

The bases of our bar chairs and stools are available in several colors and perfectly match those of our high tables: graphite black, cloud white, rosemary green, eucalyptus grey and patinated steel. The simple, refined design of our bar chairs and bar stools allows them to fit seamlessly into every interior style: Scandinavian, industrial, modern or vintage.

Assembling TIPTOE high tables is very easy and requires very little work.

• Step 1: attach your wall brackets by drilling three holes for each BRACKET, insert the wall plugs, then the brackets. We recommend using a spirit level when attaching the wall brackets.
• Step 2: place your tabletop against a wall and install the metal table legs in the desired position.
• Step 3: tighten the clamping screw by hand, keeping it firmly pressed against the tabletop.
• Step 4: turn the tabletop over, slide it into the slot provided in the wall brackets, and tighten the wall brackets by hand.
• Step 5: finish tightening the table legs and wall brackets with the Allen key for optimal stability.

The eco-certified wooden tabletops are made from solid wood and veneered with varnished solid oak. This varnish provides optimal protection for the wood and ensures easy cleaning. The wood comes from sustainably managed, eco-certified forests in France and Croatia.

The table legs are made from steel, the world’s most recycled material, and produced with our European partner in Lithuania. The table legs are powder-coated with epoxy paint and available in several colours: graphite black, cloud white, rosemary green, weathered steel and eucalyptus grey. Our table legs also feature anti-UV and anti-corrosion treatment to ensure optimal protection.

The wall brackets are also made from powder-coated steel and are manufactured with our partner in Bulgaria. The colours are the same as the table legs: graphite black, cloud white, rosemary green, weathered steel and eucalyptus grey.
