Can you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Lauren. I’m a designer and illustrator based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. My background in graphic design has given me a strong sense of composition, colour and visual storytelling. I love illustrating characters, often inspired by everyday observations.
How would you describe your creative world?
My world is a balance between urban life and nature. I thrive on the creative energy of urban places, but I’m always seeking out green spaces. Whether it’s a café or a walk in a park, I find inspiration there.
How did this collaboration inspire you?
There’s something about the change of season that brings a fresh perspective, and summer in particular is an invitation to enjoy life a little more. The days are longer, and there’s a shared joy in simply being together. The MIDI collection is elegant and bold, with beautiful colours that lend themselves immediately to illustration. It was exciting to bring that vibrancy to life through my work.
Can you share a place where you feel good?
The seaside, without a doubt. Having grown up in the West Midlands, I’ve always felt like I could escape to the coast. There’s something about the sea air, the rhythm of the waves and the sense of openness that instantly lifts my mood. It feels like a holiday without having to travel too far, and an instant reset for the mind.
