TIPTOE x Pantone : the collaboration
We’re ending 2020 with news we’re very proud of! TIPTOE is collaborating with Pantone, the international color authority, which has just revealed the 2021 Color of the Year! It’s an event we never miss at TIPTOE, as color is so important to us and to our industry.
This collaboration is the result of many months of work between two passionate and optimistic teams! Our iconic table legs will therefore be available in the Pantone Color of the Year. Two new inseparable colors, full of strength and hope, are set to launch at the beginning of the year. We’ll tell you all about it…
Who is Pantone?
Pantone is an American institution based in New Jersey and founded in 1866. It is behind the Pantone Matching System: each shade is cataloged with a formula and a name. For more than 50 years, Pantone has inspired designers, brands, and anyone looking to discover new trends or find the most appropriate shade for decorative objects, fashion, design, and more. This system, also known as a “Pantone guide,” is based on a color palette created to make it possible to reproduce a unique, exact color as many times as needed.
The Color of the Year
Since 2000, and every year since, Pantone has highlighted a new color from its color chart, inspiring all the leading manufacturers and publishers. The Color of the Year’s main goal is to spark a conversation around color. Pantone draws inspiration from various fields, from entertainment to fashion, as well as from socio-economic conditions and people’s lifestyles. It is the result of research and exploration to select the color that most accurately expresses what we are living and experiencing within society.
Color Of The Year 2021
This year, and given the unprecedented situation around the world, Pantone is selecting not one, but two Colors of the Year. We see hope and strength for the world in 2021.
- Ultimate Gray, the color of stone, pebbles and granite—natural elements that withstand time and represent strength and resilience.
- Illuminating, a symbolic color that expresses optimism, warmth and hope for a joyful future.
These two colors are celebrated together and are interdependent. Together, they carry a message of unity, balance and positivity. We are convinced that 2021 will be a better year for everyone!
Pantone x TIPTOE: the collaboration
At TIPTOE, color has always mattered, ever since the brand was founded. Our palette is made up of modern, creative and timeless colors.
The idea of a collaboration between TIPTOE and Pantone came naturally to us: Pantone’s expertise in color combined with our mission to create beautiful, durable furniture was a perfect match!
The Color of the Year 2021 will therefore be available on TIPTOE 75 cm table legs for a table or desk in tune with the times. Simply choose from sets of 4 legs, in monochrome or by mixing the two colors, available at the beginning of the year!
It is an achievement for us to collaborate with Pantone to celebrate these two colors, which convey a message of unity and hope for the year ahead!
