Burgundy Playground
Where vibrant design meets Burgundian heritage.
In the heart of Burgundy, a place steeped in history has found new life thanks to the bold transformation by architecture studio Heju. Papotte, a former 15th-century mill, is reimagined in a subtle balance between authenticity and modernity.
In this characterful setting, Tiptoe turns Burgundy—a land of great wines and traditions—into a true playground for its creations. “Burgundy Playground” is an invitation to explore a resolutely modern vision of object design, driven by a love of detail and craftsmanship.
A place steeped in history
Le Moulin Papotte is, above all, a discreet witness to a rich past. Left behind by time, it has found new life through a singular and ambitious transformation by the architect duo Heju.
Today, this ancestral building embodies a dialogue between raw materials and vibrant color palettes. These ancient stones highlight the Brick Red shade of the MIDI garden collection and its SSDr recycled plastic chairs.
A space with eclectic inspirations
Heju was committed to creating homes with soul and character, designed for a return to complete disconnection. From the Nordic fisherman’s house to Mediterranean-inspired interiors, each place expresses a poetic and distinctive personality. These understatedly elegant spaces offer a setting where the colors of our table leg collection come harmoniously to life.
A countryside getaway
The Moka bistro table, paired with SSD chairs, brings a bright, warm touch to the terracotta floor tiles of the little house by the river. Simple and elegant, the duo is perfectly suited to small spaces, combining functionality and style.
An invitation to conviviality
The New Modern dining table sits effortlessly in this Italian-inspired space. The piece, whose walnut tabletop stands out subtly amid the terrazzo, contrasts with the authentic atmosphere imagined by Heju. The sculptural and distinctive SSD Full Wood chairs in solid wood add a touch of character to the ensemble.
Every detail of these objects enhances the architecture
Terracotta tiles, powdery lime plaster and terrazzo blend naturally with our furniture. Energized by a wall of pink niches, the NOD table lamp becomes a true decorative piece. Imbued with the Mediterranean spirit of one of the four houses, it enhances the soothing atmosphere of the place.
A soft and distinctive atmosphere
The uniformity of the concrete floor and the irregularity of the terracotta tiles on the counter set the tone for the space. The Moka bistro table and bar stools in solid wood and powder-coated steel highlight the architectural features of the space.
Its palette of warm tones gives it a true personality: a comforting and delicate atmosphere.
A space designed for switching off
Whether seeking an escape or a retreat in which to work peacefully, the spaces are designed to make you feel at home while enjoying a refreshed environment. The New Modern desk paired with the Unit 5 storage system fits perfectly into this minimalist setting. A true interlude, at the heart of the delicate curves and graphic lines of the largest Papotte house.
A shared philosophy, between authenticity and creativity
More than a place, Burgundy is a true state of mind. Its rolling landscapes and traditions remind us of the importance of taking our time, of savoring the moment. It is in this spirit that we made Moulin Papotte a field of expression for our studio. Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, this place embodies the perfect balance between heritage and modernity, reflecting our commitment to elevating our exceptional industrial expertise through creative and innovative design.
