TIPTOE x Minuit Céramique: the 100% Made in France collaboration
For the holiday season, the TIPTOE design studio is collaborating with Minuit Céramique, the highly creative tableware and objects brand made in France by a new generation of artisans. For the occasion, TIPTOE and Minuit Céramique have co-created a collection bringing together a cup, a candle, and a vase. Showcasing TIPTOE’s signature colors, the handmade tableware pieces in this collection are the perfect gift to place under the tree.
Who is Minuit Céramique?
At the end of 2020, in the middle of lockdown, Sarah and Jasmine, the two founders of Minuit Céramique, realized that with shops closed, online sales had become essential for French ceramists. That is when they decided to create a collective of artisans and organize limited-time online sales. Today, Minuit Céramique brings together 40 ceramists who take part in these limited-time sales.
Alongside this collective is also “studio Minuit Céramique,” Jasmine and Sarah’s own brand. Based in Burgundy, they see the studio as a new French ceramics manufactory. To create their collections, they ask their customers on Instagram and in this way co-create 100% French tableware. Each piece is therefore handmade on site.
That is where the TIPTOE x Minuit Céramique collection was designed. A 100% Made in France, artisanal collaboration.

The objects from the collaboration
The collection includes:
- a candle with a cotton flower scent
- a 250 ml cup for everyone: coffee and tea drinkers alike
- a vase
A collection created hand in hand
The entire collection was created in collaboration with Minuit Céramique: from the selection of the material to the product, its shape, and even the color formulation
A collaboration centered around color
To create harmony between our two worlds, we based our collaboration on color. It is a fundamental aspect for our design studio, which has always taken a keen interest in formulating them. We therefore drew inspiration from the three signature colors in the TIPTOE catalog (Eucalyptus grey, Sunflower yellow and Ash Pink) to design those of our ceramics.
The manufacturing process
Each object is handcrafted in the Minuit Céramique studio in Rhône-Alpes. From preparing the clay, to the molds, to creating and firing the pieces, every step is carried out on site. A liquid stoneware, called “slip”, is poured into plaster molds to form the model. After unmolding, each piece is worked on around fifteen times through finishing and glazing. After several weeks of production, including two high-temperature firings, the objects are ready to join your tables. The pieces are dishwasher and microwave friendly.
A meeting of young French entrepreneurs
The collaboration between TIPTOE and Minuit Céramique is above all the meeting of four French entrepreneurs committed to offering objects that are beautiful and well made. Minuit Céramique objects are made 100% in France, TIPTOE objects 100% in Europe, including some in France, in Matthieu Bourgeaux’s family factory near Chamonix. This collaboration reflects a genuine desire to showcase French know-how and to remain true to our philosophy: creating simple, beautiful and durable objects.
