TIPTOE is now officially a purpose–driven company!
Today, TIPTOE is one of the first companies in the furniture sector to become a mission-driven company.
This means that our social and environmental commitment is now written into the company’s legal articles of association. When we created TIPTOE 6 years ago, we wanted to offer a lasting alternative to the trend of “fast furniture” or “disposable furniture”. By becoming a mission-driven company, making sustainability a priority also becomes a legal obligation.
What is a mission-driven company? What are the concrete implications?
The mission-driven company status was introduced in 2019 with the PACTE law. It gives companies the option to add a social or environmental objective to their articles of association, in addition to an economic objective.
The purpose of a company is no longer limited solely to its economic objectives, but must be reconciled with a mission serving the common good. Enshrined in the legal framework, this new status therefore holds the company accountable if it fails to uphold its commitments in the future (change of management, shareholders, strategic choices, etc.).

What’s next?
We are already working on new projects that we can’t wait to share with you:
- We have begun the process of obtaining B Corp certification and the European Ecolabel, so we can measure ourselves against the highest standards in social and environmental responsibility.
- We have completed our first Carbon Footprint Assessment, which we will expand to help us reduce our emissions.
- We make it easier to take back your old products through our RESTORE circular program.
The entire TIPTOE team is driven by our shared mission. That’s why we work hard to build a positive, responsible and committed brand together.
