Tiptoe by Lila Lefranc
Can you introduce yourself?
I’m Lila Lefranc. After working in fashion and textiles, I set up on my own as an illustrator. I produce my own collection of posters, postcards and stationery.
How would you describe your creative world?
My world is sunny, colorful and inspired by the seaside, especially the Mediterranean! I work in digital painting, but I also like using traditional painting bases to bring texture to my creations.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I draw a lot of inspiration from my walks, and I love jotting down ideas in my sketchbooks: bathers diving, floor mosaics, colorful flowers. I also often take photos to create my own albums and pick references from them, depending on what I feel like.
For this illustration, I was inspired by my dream office: a space where I can work facing the inspirations hanging on the wall, a place to draw my finds in my notebook.
What are your recommendations when it comes to creating?
One of my artistic favorites: the artist Baya, a painter of Algerian origin: celebrations of women, lush nature, brightly colored birds and bold patterns—her work fascinates me!
