Tiptoe by Carla Di Benedetto
To mark the launch of the new PLI shelving collection, artist Carla Di Benedetto presents a new series of illustrations set in a distinctive world. The inspiration for this series comes from the artist’s everyday life: daily walks with Soba, her dachshund, conversations and countless anecdotes shared with other dog owners.
The Canine World
Carla then saw an unexpected parallel: these universal canine eccentricities perfectly reflected the everyday uses of PLI shelves. She created four illustrations where each unique use of PLI meets a specific canine archetype of the imperfect moments that bring our interiors to life.
The Destroyer
Soba, the little dachshund whose goal in life is to test the strength of everything. The PLI Slim with hooks raises towels and bathrobes, but Soba sees only a chew toy.
The Explorer
Leo, whose curiosity far exceeds his spatial awareness. He sees every shelf, every surface, as a fascinating vertical landscape to explore. The PLI composition in the kitchen holds delicate objects that the human thinks are out of reach.
The Sleeper
Totò the Spinone takes possession of his rightful place: the center of the bed. The illustration captures his deep, guilty sleep beside the PLI Tablette.
The Prince
Adonis, a greyhound of truly regal elegance. He has his own velvet sofa, above which the 20 cm PLI shelves display artworks and decorative objects.
