Milan 2019: the international design event
From 9 to 15 April, the 58th Milan Furniture Fair took place: THE unmissable event for design professionals and enthusiasts alike. Every year, “el salone del mobile” welcomes nearly 2,000 exhibitors to iconic venues across the city, giving brands from all over the world the opportunity to present their latest creations. Among them was TIPTOE, in partnership with the prestigious Camondo design school. A look back at our Italian adventure through 6 scenographies.
TIPTOE creations at the heart of 6 scenographies
6 days, 6 different scenographies: Mostra, Cappella, Piscina, Italo-Disco, Agora and Parata. This is the project created in collaboration with the Camondo school of interior architecture, entitled “Teatro del Giorno”. Thanks to this creative partnership, 6 scenarios were imagined and produced by a collective of students and alumni to showcase a selection of new TIPTOE pieces, including the SSD chair.
Student creativity in the service of design
Collaborating with students specialising in design felt like an obvious choice. It was important for us to showcase our objects in a creative setting. Drawing on the modular nature of our table legs, the Camondo school imagined these 6 different scenographies, which can be transformed in no time at all! The result is truly inspiring: scenarios with Italian accents that make you want to wander through these sumptuous settings and discover all the latest TIPTOE pieces. Below is the third scenario from “Teatro del Giorno”, entitled Cappella, which echoes the classic structure of chapels and the symbolism of gathering.
Milan: a successful adventure
Our presence at the Milan Furniture Fair establishes TIPTOE as a legitimate European design brand. See you next year for a new exhibition as inspiring as 2019!
