Stéphane and Estelle’s Plant-Filled Loft

Stéphane and Estelle are two creative minds with a passion for interiors. For them, TIPTOE is a way to unleash their creativity in furniture, and at the heart of their artists’ studios you’ll find upcycled pieces and objects brought back from their travels. A mix of styles that highlights the generous volumes of this magnificent building in the Paris region.

Meeting Stéphane and Estelle in a place steeped in history, filled with greenery and bathed in light.

Estelle, Stéphane, what’s your story?

Above all, it’s a beautiful love story that began on rollerblades almost 10 years ago. As for me, after leaving the provinces, I studied at École Boulle and then at Arts Déco in Paris. I’m now in charge of furniture design at a luxury group. I love imagining, creating, singing and, for the past few months, taking care of our baby!

Stéphane has always lived in the Paris region. After technical studies, he became industrial director at a sports equipment company. He is passionate about sport, science, technology and DIY.

We recently moved into a listed former factory converted into artists’ studios, where we’re starting our family.

Tell us about your tastes and inspirations in interior design.

We always have an interior design project in mind. We both draw. I imagine things that Stéphane makes and perfects. Furniture hacking and upcycling are our favorite game. We love eclectic things, meaningful objects we’ve collected and pieces brought back from our travels. What we enjoy is the mix of styles (industrial, bohemian, Scandinavian, etc.), large volumes and small nooks, places steeped in history and beautiful materials.

Why did you choose TIPTOE table legs? What do you like about them, and how do you incorporate them into your world?

TIPTOE offers total freedom when creating furniture, while remaining functional, beautiful and sturdy. In our home, it all started with a board we wanted to turn into an entryway console. I had known about the TIPTOE concept for a few years, so we naturally fell for our first yellow table legs.

Then Stéphane wanted a bookcase in the hallway, I wanted a desk, a pedestal table, coat hooks for the baby’s things, a stool for the plants… We just can’t stop!

What TIPTOE creation would you like to make?

We’d like to give a school desk to the son of an architect friend who discovered the TIPTOE concept in our loft and loves it. There will be cutouts for markers and pencil pots in an offcut of oak worktop. Stéphane already has his tools in hand to make it for him!
