The SSD chair in eco-certified wood is TIPTOE’s first chair. Born in 2019 thanks to you, the TIPTOE community, and a crowdfunding campaign, it brings together TIPTOE’s DNA and our commitments. The SSD chair is:
- Simple: made up of just 5 parts, it can be assembled in 2 minutes and is easy to recycle when the time comes.
- Sturdy: its robust materials (steel and wood) make it a solid chair that will stay with you for years. It is made 100% in Europe in exceptional workshops.
- Sustainable: delivered flat-packed in 80% recycled packaging, the SSD chair is also sustainable thanks to its materials. Steel is the most recycled material in the world, and the wood comes from sustainably managed European forests (FSC or PEFC certified).
The SSD chair is available in 3 wood finishes: oak, ash or walnut, and in 4 colours: Graphite Black, Cloud White, Rosemary green and Tomette red.

#2 The SSDr chair in recycled plastic
The SSDr chair is the result of a bold, lengthy year-and-a-half development process to create a beautiful, useful and durable object in an industry that overwhelmingly uses virgin plastic. The SSDr chair marks a new milestone in our ambition to create sustainable furniture.
In this version of the SSD chair, the seat and backrest are not made of wood but of recycled PP plastic. PP, or polypropylene, is a plastic with a wide range of industrial applications: food containers, automotive parts and household appliances.
The SSDr chair aims to prove that it is possible to give waste a second life by creating beautiful, useful objects.

The SSD Soft chair is the first TIPTOE chair in recycled fabric! Its generous foam padding wrapped in removable recycled fabric provides all the comfort needed for an office chair or a chair around the dining table. The SSD Soft fabric chair is also perfect for professional use in offices or restaurants.
Today, recycled fabric options are still very rare, but we did not want to compromise on this requirement: the origin and quality of the raw material are essential to us. To meet our sustainability standards, we chose our recycled fabric from the prestigious Danish house Gabriel, renowned for its expertise and the quality of its fabrics since 1851.
Ideal for intensive use, with a removable cover!
The SSD Soft chair was designed so that each component can be separated and therefore recycled (the foam, fabric, legs and backrest). Thanks to its snap buttons under the seat, the SSD chair is easy to maintain and has a removable cover—practical for machine-washing the fabric!
The fabrics offer excellent abrasion resistance and one of the best fire-resistance ratings on the market, with 10 different certifications. The fabrics are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and EU Ecolabel certified, meaning they are non-toxic for the skin, your health and the environment.
