Choosing the right desk is essential for creating a comfortable workspace that supports concentration.

First, you need to determine the height of your desk. To do so, we recommend a standard height of 75 cm: our design steel table legs are exactly the right height! Then, when it comes to the dimensions of your desktop, it all depends on the type of setup you want to create.

• Straight desk on legs: this is the classic desk configuration. Fixed on four table legs, your stable desk gives you a comfortable work surface and the space you need to store your supplies.
• Wall-mounted desk: installed using two table legs and two wall brackets, this optimal suspended desk configuration can be placed wherever you need it and optimises the space in your interior. The wall-mounted desk is the perfect ally for small spaces.
• Corner desk: freestanding or wall-mounted, the corner desk is a functional configuration that adapts to your needs and makes use of the unused corners and angles in your home. A corner desk is a piece of furniture that works in any type of interior.

Finally, if you need more space, you can set up your design desk by adding extra storage areas. If you need to store lots of items, such as notebooks, binders or folders, desk storage cubes will be perfect for you. Conversely, if you want to store a few sheets of paper or pens, a simple drawer or small desk storage furniture will be enough.

Once you have chosen the configuration of your designer desk, the next step is to determine the dimensions of your tabletop. In general, desk tops are rectangular, but you can choose any other shape that suits you and meets your needs. Here are our recommendations for matching your tabletop to TIPTOE steel desk legs:

• Dimensions for a standard desk top: 120x60cm, thickness 3 to 4cm
• Dimensions for a small desk top: 120x30cm, thickness 3 to 4 cm
• Dimensions for a large desk top: 150x75cm, mandatory thickness of 4 cm. For even larger formats, over 180 cm, you will need to add two additional table legs for optimal stability.

If you choose a custom-made tabletop, we recommend wood or plastic. However, we strongly advise against using brittle materials such as glass, marble, or stone.

The tops of TIPTOE wooden desks (solid wood with oak veneer or reclaimed old wood) are protected with a water-based varnish and do not require any specific household products for cleaning. Care with a damp sponge and a soft cloth is sufficient. Our varnish protects our tables and makes them easier to care for, while ensuring the longevity of the tabletop.

Recycled plastic tops are resistant to everyday stains and moderate heat. Recycled plastic is a refined, innovative material that should be treated with care. To preserve your desktop, regular cleaning with a soft damp cloth is enough. Like wood or stone, recycled plastic is sensitive to certain chemical products such as solvents, strippers, and strong detergents. This is why we strongly advise against using chemical products on all our types of tops.

The eco-certified wooden tabletops are made of solid wood covered with a varnished oak veneer. Always guided by an eco-responsible approach, the wood comes from sustainably managed, certified forests, ensuring exceptional quality for the furniture. The wood is produced in forests located in France and Croatia.

The reclaimed wood used for our recycled solid oak tabletops comes from old European buildings set to be demolished: wagons, train floors, farms, barns, roof frames, etc. We wanted to give this authentic material a second life: each tabletop is different, with marks left by time, irregularities and wood knots that help create the unique, warm charm of this oak tabletop. The reclaimed wood tabletop is produced with our partner in Croatia.

The recycled plastic used for our tabletops is made from old waste: proof that it is possible to create beautiful, unique and durable furniture with a clear focus on the future of furniture design. This innovative material is produced in the United Kingdom.

The table legs are made of steel, the most recycled material. Several colours are available: graphite black, cloud white, rosemary green, eucalyptus grey, mineral blue, ash pink, terracotta red, sunflower yellow and weathered steel. The powder-coated steel used for classic TIPTOE desks is produced in Lithuania. The steel base for our NEW MODERN desks is produced in Bulgaria.

The screws and assembly components are produced and manufactured in France.
