Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Clotilde, and I’m an illustrator based in Brittany. I create my work mainly in a traditional way, combining watercolor and colored pencils to create beautiful textured effects. But I also enjoy creating illustrations digitally on my iPad.
How would you describe your creative world?
I’d say my creative world is soft, colorful and poetic. I’m mainly inspired by life’s simple little pleasures: a steaming cup of tea, a cozy place to retreat to, a pretty shopfront… Nature and the seasons are also a major source of inspiration.
What did you aim to recreate through your work with Tiptoe?
Togetherness, because sharing quality time with the people we love is essential to me. But also the importance of creating a cocoon for yourself. I believe our immediate everyday environment can have an impact on our mindset and well-being. That’s why it’s important to me to carefully choose the objects around me.
Can you share a place where you feel good?
In nature: the woods, the sea, my garden… But I also especially love cocooning and curling up under a blanket by the fire. And beyond a place, as I was saying, what matters most is who you’re with: my family and loved ones.
